UV Resin and Powder Technique
- 36 W UV lamp ;
- UV Resin Pro ;
- PH Control Pro;
- Color powder of your choice;
- Light powder;
- Sweeper brush
- 3-sided white sanding block;
- File 180/180 ;
- Fini-Plus (top coat);
- Orange stick;
- Prosthesis , Resin Point & miracle bond (if prosthesis).
NAIL PREPARATION :
- Push back and trim cuticles as needed;
- File the nails using the 180/180 file;
- Sand the surface of the nail with the 3-sided white block (the nail must be matt);
- Apply PH Control to all nails and let air dry. (Repeat this step 2 times and do not touch the nails afterwards);
- If there are prostheses: glue the prostheses using the Resin Point, apply the miracle bond to the junction of the prosthesis and the nail and leave to act for 30 seconds and file/sand to create equality using the 180/180 file and the 3-sided white block.
- Reapply PH control. (Repeat this step 2 times and do not touch the nails afterwards).
APPLICATION OF RESIN AND COLOR POWDER:
*to be done finger by finger and finish with the thumbs*
- Apply UV Resin (like a regular varnish);
- Sprinkle the colored powder (top-side-side);
- Tap your finger to remove excess powder;
- Clean the grooves and cuticles (if there is any overflow);
- Cook for 30 seconds under the UV lamp;
- Brush off excess powder;
- Repeat steps 1 to 6 2 times ;
- Make the thumbs with the same steps.
FINISHING:
- Apply UV Resin (like a regular varnish);
- Sprinkle the light powder (top-side-side);
- Tap gently to remove excess powder;
- Clean the grooves & cuticles (if there is any overflow);
- Cook for 30 seconds under the UV lamp;
- Brush off excess;
- Make the thumbs with the previous steps;
- Sand using the 180/180 file if there are any rough spots;
- Apply Fini-Plus top coat and cure for 1 minute. Do this step 2 times.
*Important*
- Refrigerate resins after use.
- Do not do your nails outside. Heat, sun and nails do not mix well.
